What an amazing first day. The team screened hundreds of patients and held up amazingly for a very long day. I am sure the people who came for medical help saw the face of Jesus by those who came thousands of miles to serve them.
Today was full of organizing medicines, supply and people, but it was done with honor. Let me walk you through it.
First we arrive at the hospital:
To kick off the day John Kirby prays over the day and tells the crowd why we are there. “We are here because we are Christ followers.”
Every face is precious:
The lines form for the screening rooms.
After the doctors evaluate patients and figure out who needs surgery, Mary Pat scheduled the surgeries.
Tomorrow is the first day of surgeries and the first day of village medical. To be continued…
Sounds like Jesus handpicked you for this assignment. Can’t wait for my turn next year!
Good to see the crowds and a shaded area created in front of the hospital. Hope you can help everyone that is able to make it to the hospital. You and your patients continue to be in my prayers. Enjoy your trip and learn from those around you.
Pictures really help! I can only imagine the coordinating skills this week requires! Thanks for keeping us in the loop!!! Prayer and blessings!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the team as your share your time and talent with others. Blessings to all!
It looks like you are servicing people of a great need! The pictures are great!
We await your safe arrival!
God Bless you all!
Hi John,
You are truly a saint for doing all you do. Your mission is clear and it was wonderful participating. Emotional, powerful, spiritual, humbling….and life changing. These are the adjectives I’ve shared with others since our return. Many tears yesterday at services at our church. Can’t wait to share , inform and educate others at our Mission Moment during service and possibly a luncheon to follow. Ever felt like a fisher of men…..collecting more potential workers for HIM? Can’t wait .. I hope all works out for next year.
Thanks again,
Dr. Ron
